the recovery experience your patients remember

A structured post-operative recovery program that gives your patients clinically-informed recovery support between surgery and final follow-up, giving your practice measurable outcomes and fewer after-hours calls.

THE GAP

The first 12 weeks after surgery are the highest-anxiety, lowest-support window in the entire patient journey.

Patients leave in a heightened stress state. Normal recovery sensations feel alarming. They don't know what's expected and they don't have anywhere to go.

That gap is where satisfaction erodes, phone calls spike, and negative online reviews get written.

The Sonavé Surgical Recovery Program gives your patients somewhere to go during that window. Structured. Evidence-tracked. Designed to reinforce your recovery guidance, not replace it.

PATIENT DEMAND

your patients are already looking for this

The shift toward integrative, sensory-based recovery isn't coming. It's here.

122M

American adults used complementary health approaches in 2022 (up from 1 in 5 to more than 1 in 3.)

Hospitality Partnerships

$375B

projected U.S. complementary medicine market by 2033 (that's up from $52.78 billion in 2025.)

Cozy Hands on Blanket

the #l

request of surgical patients, beyond medication, is personal conversation and connection

Many patients leave surgery in a heightened stress state and become very sensitive to normal recovery sensations.

The goal of the program is to support a calmer nervous system, normalize the recovery experience, and give patients a structured space to rest and regulate.

When patients feel calmer and more informed, they tend to be less anxious about what they're feeling, and less likely to call your office asking if it's normal.

RECOVERY COMPANION

sonavé is the wellness support between their visits

The program meets patients where they are – in person, at home, and on demand – from the week before surgery through their full recovery window.

Pre Operation

Welcome & Preparation

As soon as a patient registers for surgery your patients receive a reassuring welcome message with instructions on how access to simple on-demand exercises to help them arrive to surgery feeling less anxious.

Days 1-7

Early Recovery Support

During the highest-anxiety days, patients receive SMS messages normalizing discomfort and emotional fluctuations, reducing the urge to call your office in a panic.

Ongoing

Session Reminders

Automated, warm reminders for upcoming in-person and virtual recovery sessions arranged specifically for your patients and suggested according to their procedure type.

Ongoing

Reporting

HIPAA compliant, brief milestone check-ins at key recovery points feed directly into the outcome reports we deliver to your office – giving you visibility into how your patients are feeling between visits.

THE TRUTH

this isn't a problem you can avoid

These are the experiences your patients are sharing with each other about their experience with your practice

48%

of all surgical patients experience significant preoperative anxiety.

23%

of surgical patients experience depression and 26% experience anxiety in the perioperative period

95%

of plastic surgeons report encountering depression in their patients. The same percentage report encountering anxiety reactions.

WHAT YOUR PATIENTS WILL EXPERIENCE

the in-person experience

Every session is built on modalities with growing clinical evidence, and growing patient demand.

Acoustic Therapy

Crystal alchemy instruments selected for their tonal properties and matched to therapeutic protocols. A systematic review of 19 clinical studies suggests that singing bowl interventions may help reduce anxiety and depressive symptoms, with some studies also reporting pain-related benefits.

Breathwork

Guided breathing sequences designed for post-surgical recovery. A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials found breathwork significantly reduced stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms — while lowering cortisol, the body's primary stress hormone.

Somatic Regulation

Techniques that help patients become aware of and release the physical tension held in the body after surgery. When patients learn to down-regulate their nervous system, they experience less pain sensitivity, better sleep, and lower anxiety — the three concerns your office hears about most.

Integrative Pain Support

Abbott Northwestern Hospital found that 76% of patients reported pain improvement after integrative therapy sessions, with satisfaction as high as 88% in rehabilitation patients. Patients also reported learning self-management practices they continued using at home.

Surgical Recovery Program

In-person recovery sessions

Group sessions combining general post-operative education, acoustic therapy, somatic regulation techniques, and guided breathwork.

Patients learn techniques that support comfort and calm during recovery, support nervous system regulation, and process the physical stress of surgery – in a structured environment with evidence-based assessments.

Every session is designed to reinforce your post-operative instructions, not introduce competing guidance.

Virtual recovery sessions

A live, guided session patients attend from home. Designed for those who prefer the comfort of home or are still homebound during early recovery.

Covers post-operative education, stress management, and the same nervous system regulation techniques practiced in person – so patients have continuity between visits.

Recovery you can track

You'll know how your patients are doing between visits, not just when they're in your chair.

IMPACT YOUR TEAM FEELS

what changes for your practice

The Surgical Recovery Program is designed to improve patient outcomes and reduce the operational burden on your team.

Fewer after hours calls

Patients receiving regular Recovery Companion text messages, access to on-demand content, and regular in-person sessions are less likely to call your office with anxiety-driven questions.

Measurable patient satisfaction

Validated outcome data gives you visibility into your patients' recovery experience – and documentation that supports the quality of care your practice delivers.

Better prepared follow-ups

Patients arrive at follow-up appointments calmer, more informed, and more engaged – which means more productive visits and fewer unscheduled appointments.

Differentiated experience

Recovery support is where most practices stop investing. Offering a structured, luxury-quality recovery program sets your practice apart in a way patients notice and talk about.

No additional staff burden

Sonavé manages the entire program – scheduling, facilitation, content delivery, patient communication, and outcome tracking. Your team does nothing beyond sending us the patient information and surgery type.

Clinical alignment

Our recovery team includes a board-certified nurse practitioner. The program is built with clinical fluency and designed to reinforce your post-operative guidance at every touchpoint.

She designs every Sonavé recovery protocol, selects the validated outcome measures in your patient reports, and oversees the clinical escalation framework that connects our team to your office when something needs your attention.

She trains and certifies every facilitator who works with your patients. When you refer a patient into Sonavé, Natalie's clinical lens is built into every session they attend.

Jessa Hooley

Programming Director

Jessa Hooley, Somatic Stress & Sensory Therapy Specialist, is the architect of what your patients actually experience in every recovery session.

She designed the sensory environment and the somatic regulation techniques that help patients down-regulate their nervous system and process the physical stress of surgery.

Her expertise in somatic trauma resolution shapes how each session moves patients from a heightened stress state into deep rest. The modalities your patients receive aren't pulled from a menu, they were built from the ground up by someone who understands how the body holds and releases stress.

You're not referring patients into a generic wellness service. You're referring them into a program with clinical oversight from an NP who understands your post-operative concerns, and a recovery experience designed by a specialist who has spent years studying how the nervous system heals. Your patients are held. Your staff is unburdened. And the data comes back to you.

Why this matters for your practice

let's design the right program for your practice

Every partnership is tailored to your patient volume, surgical specialties, and practice goals. We'd like to learn about your practice and show you what a structured recovery program looks like.
